Meet the Founders

Paul Wilke

Paul has spent more than 30 years at the intersection of journalism, communications, and media production, helping organizations around the world tell stories that matter. As founder of Upright Position Communications and co-founder of Walking Duck, he combines strategic communications expertise with hands-on production experience, producing nearly 100 episodes of programs including The Morning Meeting, Next Up with Mark Halperin, The Embargoed Podcast, and The Upright Uptake.

A graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Paul believes the best productions communicate something worth remembering.

Audra Wilke

As Chief of Operations and a producer at Walking Duck, Audra oversees the systems and processes that keep projects running smoothly while playing an active role in production and booking. Her career includes senior consulting and information systems design for leading nonprofit organizations, where she developed technology and operational solutions supporting complex, mission-driven work.

With a background in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Audra brings a unique appreciation for the intersection of communication, technology, and data to ensure every project is both thoughtfully executed and exceptionally well managed.
